VISITATION TO ENTRANCE OF THE THEOTOKOS CHURCH, EMMITSBURG, MD

EMMITSBURG, Maryland—With the blessing of His, Beatitude, Metropolitan Alexy, Archbishop Nicholas conducted the annual visitation to the parish of the Entrance of the Theotokos in Emmitsburg, MD for their parish feast day celebration.
During the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, His Eminence, on behalf of the Metropolitan, awarded the Double Jeweled Cross to Mitred Archpriest Elias Yelovich rector of the parish, in recognition of his outstanding service to the church and the Metropolia. At the same time, Father Anthony Duvall was awarded the Nabedrenyk in recognition of his three years of priestly service.
The celebration this year was an extra special one because it observed the 15^th anniversary of the establishment of the parish. In recognition of this milestone, the parish presented Archbishop Nicholas with a beautiful, framed canvas print with a collage of pictures showing his participation in the life of the parish over the years.
A festive reception was held in the social room following the liturgy with an abundance of foods and snacks brought by parishioners.
